You Don`t Have to Plan It Alone
Planning a Destination Wedding in Mallorca? You Don’t Have to Do It Alone
Mallorca is one of Europe’s most sought-after wedding destinations and more and more couples are choosing to plan their own. The island is inspiring, the venues are stunning and the process can be genuinely exciting. But even the most hands-on couples reach moments where a little expert support would make all the difference.
At The Mallorca Project, full wedding planning isn’t your only option. Here are three flexible, standalone services designed to help you exactly where you need it.
Option 1. Beginning & End Consulting
Sometimes you just need an expert in your corner. These two 75 minute consultancy sessions give you exactly that:
A planning template is sent to you to fill out in preparation for our first call
Beginning - 75 minute consultancy call at the start of your planning journey - sets you up with local knowledge, honest advice and a clear roadmap for your Mallorca wedding.
End - 75 minute consultancy call 2 months to 6 weeks before your big day to review everything, catch anything missed and finalise your timeline.
Option 2. Venue Finding
Popular venues in Mallorca book 12 to 24 months in advance so getting this right, early, matters. Your venue finding service:
Starts with a consultation call to understand your vision and budget.
Followed by a tailored proposal of 6-8 Mallorca wedding venues that genuinely fit what you’re looking for from rustic fincas to coastal estates.
Choose your top three and we schedule your visits in person (or virtually with me visiting on your behalf) I accompany you for a full day of venue visits on the island.
Once you’ve found the one, I guide you through the contract, the terms and conditions to confirm your venue booking and then hand the reins back to you.
Option 3. On the Day Coordination
You’ve planned every detail of your Mallorca wedding. Now you want to actually enjoy it.
Starts with a consultation call to understand your vision.
Confirm your date with me in advance
One month before your wedding, hand everything over to me - your suppliers, your timeline, your vision.
On the day, I coordinate every arrival, make sure every agreed detail is in place, look after you and your guests and handle any final payments or logistics. You stay fully present. I make sure everything runs exactly as planned.
Additional support can always be added if you need it and if you decide to upgrade your planning service what you have already paid will be deducted so each step is an investment.
Whether you need help finding the perfect finca, someone to hold it all together on the day, or simply a knowledgeable local to sense-check your plans, there’s a version of support that fits where you are.
The FAQs
Do I need a wedding planner for a destination wedding in Mallorca?
Not necessarily. Many couples successfully plan their own Mallorca wedding, especially if they’re organised and enjoy the process. Where most run into difficulty is venue negotiations, supplier coordination on the day, and knowing what questions to ask. That’s where flexible support services — like venue finding, on the day coordination, or a one-off consultancy can make a real difference without handing over full control.
What is on the day coordination and do I need it for my Mallorca wedding?
On the day coordination means a professional takes over the logistics on your wedding day so you don’t have to. They manage supplier arrivals, oversee the timeline, handle any last-minute issues, and make sure everything you’ve planned actually happens as planned. If you’ve put months into organising your wedding in Mallorca, on the day coordination is what ensures you actually get to enjoy it.
How far in advance should I book a wedding venue in Mallorca?
Most popular Mallorca wedding venues — particularly fincas and coastal estates — book up 12 to 24 months in advance, especially for peak season dates between May and October. If you have a specific date or venue style in mind, it’s worth starting your search as early as possible.
What is the best time of year for a destination wedding in Mallorca?
Late spring and early autumn are considered the sweet spot — April to June and September to October offer warm weather, beautiful natural light, and fewer tourists than peak summer. July and August are also popular but can be very hot, so later ceremony times and good shade planning become important.
Can I plan a Mallorca wedding from abroad without visiting the island?
Yes, many couples plan the majority of their Mallorca wedding remotely, using video calls and virtual venue tours. A local expert who can visit venues on your behalf, liaise with suppliers, and review contracts is especially valuable in this situation, as they bridge the gap between what looks good online and what actually works on the ground.
What is a finca wedding in Mallorca?
A finca is a traditional Mallorcan rural estate, typically surrounded by olive groves, citrus trees, or vineyards. Finca weddings are one of the most popular choices for destination weddings in Mallorca because they offer a combination of rustic charm, outdoor space, and authentic island atmosphere. Many fincas have on-site accommodation, making them ideal for multi-day celebrations.
What does a Mallorca wedding celebrant do?
A wedding celebrant creates and officiates a fully personalised ceremony — one that tells your story, reflects your values, and feels nothing like a script. Unlike a registrar, a celebrant works with you in advance to craft every word of the ceremony, including vows, readings, and rituals. In Mallorca, many couples have a symbolic ceremony with a celebrant on the island and complete the legal paperwork at home before or after
Do I need a symbolic or legal ceremony for a destination wedding in Mallorca?
Most international couples getting married in Mallorca opt for a symbolic ceremony on the island, as a legal civil wedding in Spain involves considerable paperwork and residency requirements for non-residents. A symbolic ceremony has no legal standing but is fully personalised and often far more meaningful. Couples typically marry legally at a registry office at home before or after their Mallorca celebration.
